Caterpillar Q2 2012 Earnings Breakdown!

So I was able to put in a little work last weekend.  I listened to CAT and Westport's conference call.  Both calls were very positive.  I want to focus on Caterpillar's numbers tonight.  LOL!  Only because I wrote down the key stats of the call. Westport will come later.  Apple and Weatherford are still in the Que.  I can happily say all of these stocks are up quite substantially since the last time I wrote!

I know a lot of you are looking for a Westport (WPRT) update.  The progress towards natural gas infrastructure and the adoption of this phenomenal technology is gaining tremendous momentum!  If that isn't enough of a sneak peak, then all I can say is there was a reason for the +12.86% pop last Friday 08/03.  Westport has a great future!  I can say that my largest stake in all of my brokerage accounts is in Westport Innovations.  I'm putting my money where my mouth is!

Now let's move onto the Peoria Power House!  Better known as Caterpillar! (CAT)  Another great performance.  I wouldn't expect nothing less than greatness!

Let the list begin

-Had record quarterly profits. The highest profit in it's 87 year history
-yoy $2.54 eps vs. $1.52 (earnings per share) That's a 67.10% increase vs last year!
-Sales and Revenue came in at $17.374 billion vs. $14.230 billion (a 22.0% increase vs 2011)
-Full year outlook increased from $9.50 a share to $9.60 on roughly 68-70 billion in revenue
-Inventories decreased in China, as equipment has been allocated to other areas of the world
-Backlog of equipment is still at a solid $28.2 billion (An increase of 11% vs last year)
-Gas compression business is doing quite well
-Some mining equipment have lead times into 2014
-A 31% organic growth in mining

This is a small list that I derived from the call, but this is only the start.  From what I heard Caterpillar's management is confident in their earnings outlook through 2012.  They did provide caution in China and slow growth in United States and other areas of the world for 2012, but did mention they see a brighter future in 2013.  That being said we are investing for the future earnings!  With the continued monetary easing in China and other areas of the world CAT believes this will help improve the global economy, which should spark growth in the next 12-24 months.  With the current commodity prices many companies still continue to have an appetite for CAT's equipment.  The backlog is impressive and should be a positive indicator as to the strength of this company.

In my personal opinion CAT has more than came through this quarter.  Even with the economic headwinds this company was able to generate record profits.  The management is excellent and they know how to execute to create strong results.  Although caution was given the stock has been destroyed.  At $87.22 a share the stock is trading at a P/E of 9.75 vs the S&P 500 P/E of 14.6.  This is substantially lower.  CAT should easily be trading at the same P/E level as the S&P 500.  Put that into the equation and this stock would be trading at $130.00 a share.  Last earnings call I mentioned Caterpillar should be trading at $130.00 a share by year end and I believe it still has a chance.  If anything it should break through its 52 week high of $116.95 by year end.  A 35% price appreciation in the next 5 months is definitely not out of the question.

In the end CAT is a steal at $87 a share and should be bought at these price levels.  Once it blows through $92 a share the momentum will carrier this solid company past the $100 mark and onto its 52 week high!  Plus the stock currently pays a dividend that provides a 2.40% yield

Currently I have a nice position in Caterpillar and plan on purchasing more in the near future.  I have confidence and so should you!

Have a great night!

Apple has done it again!

Apple continues to amaze me!  Here is the breakdown of their recent earnings report today.

-Record quarterly revenue of $46.33 Billion on profits of $13.06 Billion
-$46.33 Billion vs. last yrs results of $26.74 Billion equates to a 73.2% increase in revenues
-Gross margins were 44.7% vs. last yrs results of 38.5%

Sales Results by product

-37.04 million iPhone sold- 128% increase vs. last year
-15.43 million iPads sold- 111% increase vs. last year
-5.2 million Macs sold- 26% increase vs. last year
-15.4 million iPods sold- 21% decrease vs. last year

-Numbers were derived from apple.com

On the surface Apple looks extremely strong, but I still must listen to the conference call.  I did hear on the way home from work that Apple may have a plan for the large amount of cash they have on hand.  That current number is a solid $97.7 Billion.  My vote is to pay out a dividend to all of the loyal shareholders!!! LOL!

Apple is trading at $451.20 a share in after hours.  Up +7.34% Another 52 week high

It seems like the 52 week high trend continues when I'm out of my favorite stocks.  I have 0 shares of Apple (AAPL) at the moment.  Oh wait!  And I have 0 shares of Westport Innovations (WPRT), which conveniently hit a 52 week high as well closing at $38.06 a share.  Up +6.91% on huge volume.  It appears the big boys are betting Westport is going to go higher.  I'm guessing that with the current prices of natural gas vs. oil prices that natural gas is becoming very enticing.  Enticing as a bridge fuel to replace the reliance of crude oil.  It just so happens that President Obama will be addressing energy and job concerns tonight at 9:00pm.  The State Of The Union Address could uncover the recent upside action in Westport today.

Congratulations to those that own Apple and Westport as of today.  I know someone is making money!

P.S. Weatherford is currently on my radar.

Happy Trading!

Monster Portfolio Week 42 Results

MONSTER PORTFOLIO 2011

Balance: Inception 01/07/11
$1977.32 Stock
$13.65 Cash
Total $1990.97

Balance: End of Week 41 10/28/11
$1,506.05 Stock
$1,059.87 Cash
Total $2,565.92

Since Inception: -1.53%

Back out cash inflow and we have a balance of $1,960.42.

Welcome back everyone!  So I was able to dig into Weatherford’s (WFT) 3rd qtr. earnings transcript last week and I’m here to say that WFT appears to be doing all of the right things. (All of the right things that are within their control.)  The positives outweigh the negatives.  First I will cover the negatives to get them out of the way.  These are the issues that negatively impacted their earnings.

Negatives

1.      An increase in the effective tax rate reduced the earnings by $0.01
2.      Foreign exchange book losses accounted for a $0.03 hit against earnings
3.      Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Pacific revenue declined $45 million due to increased start up costs in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq, contracts in Algeria lapsed and WFT was forced to demobilize and relocate outside of the country, and lastly higher incurred costs in Iraq due to shut down costs, idling costs, and problems with recent started operations
4.      Net debt increased roughly $301 million for a grand total of $7.3 billion in debt

Positives

1.      Quarterly revenue reached a record high of $3.4 billion
2.      Year on year revenue growth of 33%
3.      Sequential quarterly growth of 11% (Always a positive to see revs higher on back to back quarters.)
4.      Continued positive outlook for North America (Conservatively)
5.      Positive outlook for Canada which has lagged for years
6.      Increasing margins and volume in certain product lines including artificial lift, production optimization, formation evaluation, and open hole completion for North America in 2012
7.      Positive outlook in Latin America, Russian, and European operations
8.      Increased activity in North Africa (Libya and Algeria)
9.      Margin improvements internationally for the 4th qtr. and strengthening into 2012
10.  15-20% of North America earnings is from fracking, which means more room for growth

In conclusion of the earnings I still continue to believe that WFT is a viable investment.  There is much room for improvement!  That being said I believe Weatherford is on the right track to increase revenue and improve their operations.  The one thing that is a slight concern is the increased debt, but as a company grows to increase market share in a competitive industry taking on debt to grow is quite normal.  If the debt to equity continues to increase passed Q3 of 2012 I may change my tune.  So my recommendation is to continue to buy WFT on the dips well into 2012 as the strength in earnings will continue with elevated crude prices.

I would also like to disclose that I sold a large stake in WFT on Thursday and Friday as selling into strength is what I do.  This was mostly because I had to much invested in WFT and I had to reduce my risk.  Since October 4th Weatherford has increased in value by 35.97% as of Friday’s close.  A run like that deserves a little profit taking.  You have to lock in your profits while the gettin is good!  Remember I try to think like the big fund managers. And currently they are selling as we saw some profit taking today.  My objective is to make as much money as I can while reducing my risk along the way!

Westport Innovations (WPRT) reports tomorrow.  Depending on the outlook I may try to sneak back into the speculative alternative energy play for the remainder of the year.  I still have a goal to finish up 10% on the year and I have to pick my stocks wisely as I’m running out of time. LOL!

All research was derived from Weatherford’s website and can be viewed by clicking on WFT (hyperlinked)

Have a great night!

Apple Insight/Monster Portfolio 2011 Week 28 Results

MONSTER PORTFOLIO 2011

Balance: Inception 01/07/11
$1977.32 Stock
$13.65 Cash
Total $1990.97

Balance: End of Week 27 07/22/11
$2,525.70 Stock
$32.85 Cash
Total $2,558.55

Since Inception: +3.36%

Excluding cash inflow of $500.50 we have a balance of $2,058.05.  Wow it has been a wild ride.  I’m finally back in the black as my portfolio closed in the positive. 5 weeks ago I was down -20.16%.  I made some big bets and they paid off!  I went on a run and was able to tack on $468.47 in added value to the Monster Portfolio 2011.  A +23.52% move.  That’s an average of 4.7% per week.  I’m now within striking distance of my goal for the year of up +10.0%

I briefly touched on Apple last Tuesday, but now I will get into more detail.  I’m going to re post some old information with some added insight to Apples results (This checklist is great!)

-Highest quarterly revenue in Apple’s history

-Record sales for the iPhone and iPad

-Record June sales for Mac

-$28.57 billion in sales yoy growth of 82% (yoy stands for year over year growth)

-Net Profit $7.31 Billion EPS of $7.79 a share

 Units sold per product

-9.25 million iPads sold in June quarter.  A 183% unit increase over a year ago qtr

-20.34 million iPhones sold vs. 8.4 million sold.  A 142% yoy growth

-3.95 million Macs sold.  A 14% yoy growth vs. the market growth of 2.6%

-7.54 million iPods sold vs. 9.4 million.  A decrease of 1.06 million iPods sold

As you can see from the numbers the iPad and iPhone sales are on fire.  Triple digit growth is unheard of and Apple continues to deliver!  Other positive points include

-iPod sales are down, but Apple still has over 70% of the mp3 market

-iPhone is available through 228 carriers and sold in 105 countries

-iTunes generated $1.4 Billion in revenue.  A 36% increase yoy growth

-Store sales increased to $10.8 million per store vs. $9 million with a total of 325 Stores

-Apple sold every iPad they could make

I’m upbeat on Apple’s outlook.  With the soon launch of iCloud and the up and coming release of the iPhone 5 Apple should continue to have record breaking quarters!  Even at $398.50 a share the stock is still cheap. My recommendation is to wait for some weakness in the stock and load up on the way down.  Check out Apple's chart!  It has been on a tear!

Tomorrow we have (WFT) Weatherford International reporting earnings.  This stock has let me down numerous times, so I’m not going to say a word.  Since my last purchase of WFT I have a 9.59% lead.  If the numbers and outlook are bad I will sell this stock in a heartbeat!  I will lock in my gains and move on.  From the recent buying activity I don’t see this happening, but I have to stay cautious.  With the recent news from Schlumberger and Baker Hughes stating the international business is coming back I believe WFT won’t let me down.  I’m also interested to see what (F) Ford has to say tomorrow.  I may be a buyer depending on the outlook.

(WFT) Weatherford International 3 month Candle Stick Chart.  Strong momentum to the upside

Apple and Caterpillar Results

I did my research over the past few days and this is what I came up with. First let’s start with the tech giant Apple (AAPL).

Apple (AAPL) reported record revenue and had the highest earnings in company history. They reported revenue of $20.34 Billion and net quarterly earnings of $4.31 billion. That comes out to $4.64 per diluted share. This time last year Apple made $12.21 Billion with earnings of $2.53 Billion or $2.77 a share. They earned 67.5% more a share from a year ago. $4.64 vs. $2.77. That’s works out to be $1.87 more a share. That is a phenomenal number! Apple sold 3.89 million macs, 14.1 million iPhones (Up 91% from last year), 9.05 million iPods, and 4.19 million iPads. All products were up in unit growth – the iPod which was down 11% from a year ago. International growth continues to drive sales.

The numbers are very promising for Apple in the near future. As of today Verizon is now offering the iPad in stores. I’m interested to see next quarter numbers with the addition of Verizon. The iPhone is the largest revenue driver for Apple and with the new release of the white iPhone (Different Color) in the coming months, there should be a nice spike in iPhone sales. Also, the introduction of Apple TV should add another line of revenue to the company.

The Holiday is always a great time for tech gadgets and Apple should benefit nicely from the Christmas season. Apple continues to improve the strength of their business and I don’t see this company letting up anytime soon. This is still a strong buy for me. I can’t even explain what Apple has in store next as the conference call was full of exciting up and coming business. You have to listen for yourself to understand the positive outlook for Apple’s future. Check it out!

Conference Call

Next let’s move onto the Peoria Powerhouse! Better known as Caterpillar (CAT)

Caterpillar (CAT) had a great number as I mentioned last week. Compared to last year Caterpillar is on a roll! They earned $1.22 vs. $0.64 this is a $0.58 a share increase from 2009 3rd quarter earnings. That’s an increase of 90.6% in earnings per share. Now here is my take on the earnings. CAT is doing extremely well! The increase in sales volume, favorable pricing, and an improvement in manufacturing costs helped Caterpillar rise to the top for the 3Q 2010 earnings. Other positives include an increase in 2010 sales and revenue from a range of $39 to $42 Billion to a revised number of $41 to $42 Billion. This is slightly higher, but definitely an improvement. The 2011 outlook continues the upward trend at a projection close to $50 Billion. The potential for an $8 Billion increase in sales and revenue should attract new investors. Caterpillar continues to increase their exposure internationally, which should drive sales for 2011.

From browsing over the numbers all sales and revenue were up in all geographical regions compared to the 3rd quarter last year (2009). Much of the growth has come from the machinery side of the business. Machinery sales and revenues were up 89% in North America, 121% in Latin American, 60% in EAME, and 81% in Asia/Pacific. Over 60% of sales and revenue was generated internationally. Engine sales were up 21% from 2009, but I see the bulk of the money being made in machinery. The outlook for 2011 is promising due to the favorable growth rates of the developing countries. The standout for growth has Asia/Pacific in the lead projected to grow at 7.5%.

With increased pricing in commodities into 2011 the demand for Caterpillar’s products should strengthen. The last thing I would like to say is even in hard times Caterpillar was still able to add 6,200 Full time jobs and 9,000 agency/part-time workers in 2010. The Peoria Powerhouse makes money and creates jobs! It’s flat out beautiful to see a company make tremendous strides from a year ago. My take (CAT is a strong BUY!) The story of the Peoria Powerhouse continues on! Yeah Buddy!

P.S. Westport Innovations (WPRT) just received a big purchase order for 180 Peterbilt liquefied natural gas (LNG) trucks including Westport HD Systems. The purchasing company is Robert Transport out of Boucherville, Quebec. Looks like this natural gas thing may be catching on. Hmm! My take (WPRT goes higher!)

Have a great night. I will be back in action on Thursday!

Caterpillar-The Peoria Powerhouse!

Caterpillar (CAT) was and still is the reigning champion of the farm and construction industry! Today they have proven to the world that they can deliver even in a slow economy. Caterpillar came out blazing with a phenomenal quarter beating analysts’ estimates by $0.13 or roughly 12% higher than expectations. The number was $1.22 vs. $1.09 a share. 12% seems good, but what about comparing to this time last year? Caterpillar earned $1.22 vs. $0.64. That’s a 90.6% increase in earnings. A number like that is truly amazing!

Caterpillar beat estimates, had great revenue, and raised their guidance for the remainder of 2010. What more can you ask for? All of these positives point to a higher stock price for Caterpillar. Today was a day filled with profit taking. This stock is up over 38% since the beginning of the year. That’s a huge gain and it would be reckless not to take a little something off the table. A stock like this doesn't come around very often. Although, I haven’t had an opportunity to listen to the conference call, I believe CAT is on track to make even more money in 2011. Stay away for a bit as CAT should come down in price over the next couple of days or weeks. You would be safe to buy a little stock in low 70’s. If it gets into the 60’s you shouldn’t have a problem turning a profit for 2011. I’m going to listen to the call this weekend and I will have updates if I feel it’s of any interest.

Now that CAT has taken the thunder for the day I still have a couple of my favorites to mention. Apple (AAPL) came through big time. Earnings were spectacular and everything seems to be firing on all cylinders. Of course there is going to be people saying growth will slow and iPad sales weren't as robust as expected. Give me a break! Apple destroyed earnings! You’re not going to take the wind out of this sail. Apple will charge higher. I thought the stock was going to pull back big and it hasn’t yet. Maybe it won’t and this stock will continue higher. Personally I believe it should pull back into the $280’s and then move higher. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it!

Lastly, I want to briefly talk about Weatherford International (WFT).

Weatherford International has been traveling down a tough road. They did beat analysts’ estimates and I continue to have great confidence in this stock. WFT has positioned themselves nicely to take advantage of any changes that may occur in Mexico. Mexico was a huge bust for them in the 3rd quarter. Mexico turned sour after a political change prevented WFT from drilling this qtr. It’s all uphill from here in Mexico. I believe improvements in this country will allow earnings to exceed expectations in the coming quarters as this was the main driver for decreased revenue. Stuff happens! Even to the best companies. It’s a real positive to see a company deliver even when the cards are stacked against them. WFT is a buy in my book.

That’s it for today. I have some homework to do over the next few days to see what really is going on with CAT and AAPL.

Don’t forget Schlumberger (SLB) the oil service giant reports tomorrow. They are the market leader and many investors look to SLB for a reliable outlook for the future of oil.

Have a great night!

Earnings Season Off To A Great Start. Google Is Back On The Saddle!

I’m back! My Internet was fixed today. Something about the frequency wasn’t in the proper range to pick up the signal. I’m glad to be back in action!

Google jeez! Nice job on a blowout quarter!

Well folks earnings season is back better than ever. Some of the larger companies have already reported their earnings. JP Morgan (JPM) and Intel (INTC) were just a couple of recent out performers that reported better than expected earnings earlier this week. Intel basically saved itself from being cut from the stock prediction game. This stock has performed poorly, but after their recent earnings I believe this stock will be just fine. JP Morgan had some bright points, however from the recent worries about the mortgage mishap with the foreclosure papers the banks have been receiving an extreme amount of pressure. This debacle could cost the banks billions of dollars. With that being said even if the banks report good earnings over the next couple of weeks I would steer clear for awhile until the smoke clears.

Next let's move onto Google.  This is my first time mentioning this company and it won't be the last.  What a spectacular showing by Google (GOOG) reporting a great number after the bell today. Google destroyed analysts estimates for this quarter. Analysts were expecting $6.69 a share. Google had an upward surprise of $7.64 a share excluding items. This company is making some money! To top it off they added more than 1,500 employees in the 3rd qtr.  Adding jobs and making more money now that's a recipe for success.  Maybe the government should take a few lessons from the likes of Google. I plan on doing some more research on Google so stay tuned. This company is definitely worth a look. Please don’t buy this stock tomorrow as it has already run up 9% in after hours. You will lose money!

Next on deck we have my following favorites reporting next Tuesday

Apple (AAPL) Tuesday 10/19/10 Apple shouldn’t have a problem topping estimates and should get a nice pop tomorrow from Google’s recent earnings. Don’t be surprised if this stock sells off after they report earnings. Apple has had a great run. There will be profit taking!

Weatherford International (WFT) Tuesday 10/19/10 Similar to Apple, Weatherford has run up quite nicely up 26% from 3 months ago. Earnings should be just fine and some profit taking will take place. Wait until the selling is done and buy some 5-10% lower.

In closing I would like to give a few words of advice. We as individuals work very hard for our money. I say take some pressure off and let great companies like Apple and Caterpillar do the heavy lifting. Large companies generate tons of money and they give us a perfect opportunity to benefit from their success by investing in their stock. It’s as simple as that!

Have a great night!

Oil Service Is Back In Business. Oh Yeah Don’t Forget About CAT!

What a day for stock market! Finally the stock market has a positive move with the earnings to back it up. Caterpillar (CAT) starting out the day destroying analyst estimates! Destroying! Destroying! Destroying! Man I’m excited. Yeah Buddy!!! CAT is a solid indicator for the future of the economy. They proved today that business and other countries are loosening their pocket books and putting money to work. CAT reported earning of $1.09 a share topping estimates of $0.85 a share and beating revenue estimates of $9.8 Billion coming in at $10.41 Billion. Another positive is they raised their full year estimates to $3.15 to $3.85 a share on sales between $39 to $42 Billion up from $2.50 to $3.25 a share with sales of $38 to $42 Billion according to http://finance.yahoo.com/ reported by Reuters. Although CAT is still cautious about the future of the economy their numbers were definitely something to smile about compared to last years earnings. Now that I’m done ranting about the Peoria Powerhouse better known as Caterpillar lets move onto the rest of the week’s earnings.

Weatherford International (WFT)-Beat Estimates $0.11 vs. $0.07 predicted by analysts. Upside surprise is always good for a beaten down stock like WFT. You should see higher prices in the future. I believe the bad news has finally run its course with WFT. This is still undervalued to its peers. If you want to make some quick bucks this is your huckleberry!

Apple (AAPL)-Beat Estimates $3.51 vs. $3.12 predicted by analysts. This also was 160% higher than last year’s earnings of a $1.35 a share. These are great numbers! Great iPhone and iPad sales. This will continue to be a strong stock.

Goldman Sachs (GS)-Beat Estimates $2.75 vs. $2.08 a share. Although earnings were less than last years 2nd quarter results this stock has been crushed and beaten down behind belief by the government. With the SEC settlement behind them I expect Goldman to come back strong. This is a turnaround, but you should never bet against Goldman Sachs because in the end they will win!

Also, on a good note for the oil service companies the 2nd largest player Halliburton (HAL) had a phenomenal quarter and beat estimates by a long shot $0.52 vs. $0.37 a share predicted by analyst that’s over 40% higher than expected. It definitely looks like oil production is starting to pick up and the recent earnings by the oil service companies brings a smile to my face since I truly am an oil man! With Schlumberger (SLB) reporting tomorrow I believe you will here a positive spin with SLB. They are the largest oil service company and the industry leader. I would expect nothing less than an earnings estimate beat by SLB. They are the leader for a reason. They are the linchpin of the oil service companies!

As you may notice the earnings for the stocks that I have selected for the prediction game are starting to come alive. I still would continue to invest in all my picks. (WFT, AAPL, GS, INTC, CAT) Although these companies have been quite volatile (even to my liking) they have the tendency to come back faster and harder then other stocks in the market. Don’t forget about my other stock I suggested Westport Innovations (WPRT) up 5.59% today. Still yet to be profitable WPRT has a bright future ahead of them.

Well that wraps it up for today. What a great day! I will definitely sleep well tonight! LOL! Watch SLB tomorrow morning. It should be a good one!

Earnings. What’s In Store For Next Week?

First off I’m pretty disappointed with the stock market action for the week. The majority of the companies that reported earnings exceeded the analyst’s estimates. I was very pleased with the results. Obviously the market felt otherwise. Friday’s release of a poor consumer sentiment reading of 65 came with some surprise. The consensus estimate was to be 74.5 according to Briefing.com. The consumer sentiment is very important for the market as this determines the confidence of people.  By this I mean confidence in the current and future outlook of the economy. A higher # is better and seeing it drop so low is definitely not reassuring for Wall Street and investors.

When there is a possibility of a slow down investors and traders shoot first and ask questions later. That’s why Friday was such a disaster even though General Electric (GE) and Citigroup (C) all reported good numbers. The market was dragged down by an onslaught of selling pressure and the DJIA closed down 2.52% S&P 500 down 2.88% and the NASDAQ off a whopping 3.11%. On the bright side at least the DJIA managed to stay above 10,000. I think Friday was an overreaction to the economy slowing down. I personally have become more optimistic about the future of the economy. I expect some good earnings next week so hopefully the stock market will sweep the negativity under the rug, pull up their pants and quit crying every time some piece of data is negative. Earnings season is here for a reason to gauge the current and future results of companies. The results so far are positive and I feel we were short changed this week with the markets lackluster action. I’m sticking with the fundamentals of an individual company! The economic data has been negative for so long and I’m sick of hearing about it! Referring to an old joke from high school I say “Throw it in the trash” (Dan B you know what I’m talking about)

Enough of the negativity! Next week is my favorite week of earnings. The week the oil service companies report. I’m talking about the largest of the oil service companies. We'll see the likes of Halliburton (HAL) Weatherford International (WFT My favorite) and the largest of them all Schlumberger (SLB) report next week. (HAL) will report tomorrow, (WFT) on Tuesday and (SLB) on Friday. I have confidence that what they have to say will be good. The earnings of these companies will be a toss up since oil prices weakened after the BP oil spill and could have negatively affected earnings for this quarter, but we invest for the future and over the weeks the rig count has increased almost every week for the past 3 months. It may not seem like oil is being drilled but the increased rig count is an indicator that the drilling business is picking up and the earnings of all of these companies will benefit in the near future. The one to watch and pay attention to this week will be Schlumberger. Fund managers always pay attention to the industry leader. Good things out of Schlumberger means higher stock prices for all the oil service companies. I’m going to go out on a limb and say positive news will come from SLB on Friday. I just have a feeling! I have been waiting patiently for the energy sector to come back into favor and I think this may be the quarter that does it!

Lastly, a few other great names are set to report next week, including Apple (AAPL) on Tuesday, Goldman Sachs (GS) on Tuesday, and a family favorite Caterpillar (CAT) on Thursday. This is a very exciting week since many of my recommendations from my stock prediction game will report. I think I’m going to win!

Well that’s it for me. Enjoy the rest of this fine Sunday. I know I will! My wife is making barbecue cheddar bacon burgers for dinner tonight! YEAH BUDDY!!!
