MONSTER PORTFOLIO 2011
Balance: Inception 01/07/11
$1977.32 Stock
$13.65 Cash
Total $1990.97
Balance: Week 6 02/21/11
$2,008.60 Stock
$46.39 Cash
Total $2,054.99
Excluding cash inflow of $102.00 we have a balance of $1,952.99. On the week we are down 1.51% from the end of last week’s balance of $1,983.09. Apple decided to take a rest for a few days. Since the portfolio is weighted more towards Apple I gave back a little money on the week. No worries! I did however like WPRT coming back off its lows. Westport may get some love soon now that crude oil has been creeping higher over the past few months. High crude prices = increased push towards alternative energy like natural gas, wind, solar, and of course batteries. Even though the portfolio hasn’t moved higher I continue to contribute $17.00 a week. This cash will allow me to buy more stock when the opportunity presents itself. This is how you build wealth overtime.
Since Inception: -1.9% overall
Current Holdings:
Apple (AAPL)
Cosi Inc. (COSI)
Westport Innovations (WPRT)

FRESH INSIGHT ON INVESTING AND THE STOCK MARKET. ONE STEP CLOSER TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM

Blog On Auto Pilot
For the next 6 weeks or so the content for my blog will be limited. I have decided I need to focus on other areas of my life. My time has been limited for stocks and without the extensive research I put into my posts I believe the content will not be beneficial to all my readers. I need to regain focus and address my other responsibilities in life. Basically I'm burnt out at the moment. Sometimes we all need a break. This is the right thing to do for myself over the next 6 weeks or so. I have an up and coming cruise in April and I need to focus on my fitness. Working out once or twice a week doesn't cut it. I plan on spending a substantial amount of time in the gym. I will continue to post the end of the week results for the Monster Portfolio 2011 and occasional short posts, but my content will be unpredictable. If I write something you will know. Check back occasionally for my buy lists (stocks I like). If you have any questions send me an email at wheatleycsmk@gmail.com and if your on facebook shoot me a message and I will respond.
Have a great day!

Monster Portfolio 2011 Week 5 Results
MONSTER PORTFOLIO 2011
Balance: Inception 01/07/11
$1977.32 Stock
$13.65 Cash
Total $1990.97
Balance: Week 5 02/14/11
$2,021.70 Stock
$46.39 Cash
Total $2,068.09
Excluding cash in flow of $85.00 we have a balance of $1,983.09. On the week we are up 1.76% from the end of last week’s balance of $1,948.71. I have almost dug myself out of the hole I created a few weeks back. Since my debacle back in Week 2 when the portfolio was up 5.4% to down -4.67% by week 3 I had to make some changes. Since then I have leveled out the volatility and I’m confident this portfolio will gradually move higher for months to come. Next week I’m guessing the Monster Portfolio could edge back into the black.
Since Inception: -.03% overall
Current Holdings:
Apple (AAPL)
Cosi Inc. (COSI)
Westport Innovations (WPRT) Tacked on another 3.71% today! Below is a link of a little added support by Jim Cramer towards Westport. This will give some confidence back to those who own WPRT. Thanks Cramer and Yahoo Finance for providing this clip.

Stock Evaluation On Hold (WPRT)
Sorry folks, but I'm still working on what to look for when evaluating a company for a potential investment!
It has taken a little longer than expected. I would like to mention that Westport Innovations (WPRT) dropped the ball a bit this quarter. However, they have plenty of orders to fulfill in the pipeline. A company like this is working towards profitability. Sometimes a company falters on its way to the top. I haven't had a chance to listen to the conference call, but WPRT did get a nice bounce today up 3.44% after it was destroyed on Wednesday. I wouldn't count this company out. I realize it hasn't performed very well in the past few months, but that is what makes it a great investment. Westport's growth story is still intact. Yes the energy bill is a toss up, but Westport is making progress. On a side note I have seen Joe Soros or should I say Soros Fund Management increase it's stake from 1,830,901 shares to 3,256,910. That is a 77.8% increase in shares. This occurred from March 31st to last reporting date of September 30 2010. (according to yahoo finance) This may have changed as of lately, but I don't think Joe Soros would give up that easy.
Thats all for tonight!
I'm interested to see how many iPhones Apple will sell over the next few days. Hopefully, they will release the numbers sometime next week.

Monster Portfolio 2011 Week 4 Results
MONSTER PORTFOLIO 2011
Balance: Inception 01/07/11
$1977.32 Stock
$13.65 Cash
Total $1990.97
Balance: Week 4 02/07/11
$1987.32 Stock
$29.39 Cash
Total $2016.71
Excluding cash in flow of $68.00 we have a balance of $1948.71. On the week we are up 2.6% from the end of last week’s balance of $1897.85. The portfolio is showing some progress after the volatile down turn over the past few weeks. I believe this portfolio is positioned well to take advantage of the good things to come.
-Apple will make big money with the increased sales with Verizon through 2011.
-Westport has a great growth story and with the stock out of favor it has plenty of ground to make up.
-Cosi continues to improve and with the upturn in the economy many will increase restaurant spending.
-If Cosi has half the growth potential of Panera Bread the stock price should appreciate nicely!
Since Inception: -2.1% overall
Current Holdings:
Apple (AAPL)
Cosi Inc. (COSI)
Westport Innovations (WPRT) (reports earnings tomorrow 02/08/11) I’m going to keep quiet on this one.
Have a great night!
